We previously wrote about the employee entrance to lot A at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. This past November we wrote “Parking Access Control At Loyola Parking Deck A Staff Entry”. A year ago November we also told you about “Pay On Foot Parking Lot Terminals | Loyola University Deck A”. This article described pay on foot terminals used by public guests using this parking lot.

Deck A has two entrances to accommodate public patrons. Pictured above the main public entry with dual entry lanes. The left lane is attended by a guard (when on duty) and the other is solely an automated entry lane. The picture to the left shows a second access point that is strictly automated.

Drivers enter the garage and pull up near the entry terminal where they obtain a parking ticket. Upon receipt the barrier gate opens and allows the vehicle to access. A vehicle detection loop senses the car has passed beyond the gate and signals the barrier to close. And the system gets ready for the next vehicle.

This is just a portion of the extensive WPS Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) ECI installed for this Loyola campus in 2019. It also includes exit terminals and pay on foot terminals we have also described. We did not furnish the yellow bollards protecting the equipment from potential damage from cars or the guard house.

Learn more about PARCS systems and their related components. Or call ECI at 847.949.0134 to discuss your current needs or for maintenance or service on your existing equipment.
