Vehicle Access Control System
ECI was called to the University of St. Mary of the Lake where we furnished and installed a complete vehicle access control system. These systems are crucial for managing traffic flow and ensuring a safe and controlled environment.
We were also tasked to blend the equipment into the background. From the image above, I think we accomplished the task extremely well.
There are four key components to this system:
The dual HySecurity SwingSmart Gate Operators (tucked behind the brick columns) are designed for high-traffic commercial and community sites. They are equipped with advanced features that offer superior control and reliability. Each gate operator has a standard battery backup system to enable continued operation during power outages and Bluetooth connectivity for easy setup and remote monitoring.
Infinity’s Long-Range RFID Reader is shown on a high post to the far right. It is a high-performance automatic vehicle identification solution that streamlines the process of identifying and granting access to authorized vehicles. With an adjustable read range of up to 25 feet, it can read a variety of vehicle tags.
The CellGate W410 Telephone Entry System is pictured on the lower post to the right. It allows authorized visitors to gain access by calling pre-programmed numbers. The Voice Mail Intelligence feature helps prevent unanswered calls. A web portal provides prop open notifications and remote management.
Vehicle detector loops are installed in the pavement at both entry and exit points. (One is shown in the foreground.) These loops detect the presence of vehicles and enable the automated opening and closing of the gates.
