Last month I wrote “Double Barrier Gates Prevent Entering In The Wrong Direction”. The blog described the reasoning behind installing a set of barrier gates at the exit lanes for Anthony Marano Co., Inc. It was to prevent traffic from entering this huge produce facility in the wrong direction.
Pictured above are another set of barrier gates we installed at the location. These are meant to keep trucks moving in the correct direction. The vehicles are thus cycled back into a one-way circular direction leading to the exit lanes. Notice the cut marks in the pavement where ECI installed vehicle detector loops.
The picture to the left shows greater detail of the gate operator. I also want to point out the black pole to the left of the gate operator. I hope you can make out the double (near the top and about 1/3 up from the bottom) set of photo-electric beams. Once a truck, or other vehicle, has passed through the beams, a relay signals the barrier gates to lower.
The company is located on South Ashland Avenue in Chicago and the barrier gates were furnished by Magnetic. Anthony Marano Co. furnishes “a full line of fruits and vegetables, both conventional and organic” in the Midwest.
ECI furnished a turnkey installation which included trenching, backfill and all the piping, connectors as well as electrical work. We also included the concrete pad work on which the gate controls and black poles are anchored.
Call ECI today at 847.949.0134 for all your perimeter security requirements. We also service and maintain existing equipment.
Remember, it’s not too late for a pre-winter inspection.
