Today’s storms reminded me about last month’s article “Massive Guard Booth Delivered In Matteson During Wind Storm”. The 16,000 pound booth was supplied by Par-Kut International. I found this video on YouTube which explains some of the options available from this resource and I wanted to share it with you.
Some of the applications for these portable steel buildings include guard booths and guard houses and shelters used in security, inspection, access and parking control, conservation and more. Booths can be selected from either stock styles or can be custom designed. Elevated shelters are available and some guard booths are even portable when mounted on trailers.
Appearance options range from the very basic to custom designs. Bathrooms are available as well as “anti-fatigue floor mats” and “dimmable interior light” per the video. Bullet resistant protection is available and is offered “against weapons ranging from 9mm handguns to high powered rifles,” with gun ports also an option.
Guard booths are currently installed in military facilities, private industry, government locations, nuclear power plants, airports, etc.
