I wrote to you last week about a turnkey vehicle access installation at the Easter Seals Terrence J. Hancock Family Campus in Chicago. That article was entitled: “Elka Automatic Barrier Gates At Easter Seals Facility Exit.”
ECI furnished and installed the Infinity SC1000W-UL Carina UHF RFID Reader for ease of access for authorized vehicles. The reader is seen at the top of the pole in the image above at the access to the facility.
It is attached to the Elka automative barrier gate housing that is protected from accidental damaged by two bollards. A view of both entry access lanes is shown below.
This high-performance reader can read tags at a distance of up to 25 feet and has an externally adjustable read range. When the reader successfully reads a tag, it provides both an audible sound as well as a visual indication to confirm the tag read. This feature ensures that users receive immediate feedback that a tag has been detected and read by the reader.
This model can read a variety of RFID tags, including passive UHF RFID tags that operate in the frequency range of 902-928 MHz. Tags can be used for automatic vehicle identification and other applications. They can be mounted on windshields, headlamps, license plates and hang tags can be attached to rear view mirrors.
You can rely on ECI for a seamless turnkey installation of your vehicle access and revenue control system as well as integration with access control equipment. We also offer ongoing service and maintenance. Click below to get in touch online and for direct contact information or call 847.949.0134 today.
