Shown here above is the entrance lane for public lot #10 at Loyola University’s Medical Center in Maywood, IL. WPS furnished the barrier gate and related equipment as part of an extensive Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) on the campus.
At the lower left is an entry terminal with an LED display panel showing easy instructions. It produces a parking ticket that is stamped with the date and time of entry for public entry.
The barrier gate opens once the ticket is removed. It lowers after the vehicle passes over a vehicle detector loop buried in the pavement. Two yellow bollards protect the sensitive equipment from accidental damage from a low-speed collision.
The exit terminal and barrier gate for Lot #10 are shown to the left. A screen lights up with instructions for the driver. Then a satisfied ticket or special pass may be inserted for immediate egress.
Or if an open parking ticket is inserted any credits or validations are automatically applied. Credit cards may then be used to pay any remaining balance. Once satisfied, the barrier gate opens and the vehicle may exit.
Intercoms may be used to talk to the main parking office.
