Just two weeks ago I wrote “Parking Lot Access Control Layout | Rana Meal Solutions”. It was about the layout for the concrete work to complete the parking access control equipment at Rana Meal Solutions in Bartlett, IL.
These photos show final completion at the same locations shown in that article. Shown above is the double-entry lane to the parking lot. (Note the completed building to the right with the windows, finished facade and how the weeds have been removed!)
At the lower left is a card reader on a gooseneck pedestal pole protected by two concrete bollards. The center island is home for the two automatic barrier gates, another (barely visible) card reader on a gooseneck pole and nine concrete bollards. One of the bollards is hidden from sight. Hidden in the concrete driveway are vehicle detector loops to sense cars and trucks.
Shown to the left are the dual egress lanes onto Hecht Drive. This is a controlled egress lot so we see two mounting for card access equipment (and not yet installed intercoms) on gooseneck pedestal poles. One is isolated on the left and protected by concrete bollards and the second is on the concrete island. The island also has two automatic barrier gates as well as seven protective concrete bollards.
Once again, for this location access credentials must be presented to both exit and enter the parking lot. And both access and egress are recorded on the software for review.
Although the trench has yet to be patched, the ‘hot pink’ colored markings are no longer visible. There are four additional controlled egress lanes for vehicles to exit the lot.
