Calpipe Security Bollards Installed by ECI
BBC News Service reported last month that the city of Manchester is planning to install anti-terrorist barriers, including perimeter security bollards, in its city center. The article entitled “Anti-terror barrier plans for Manchester city centre” was published in December.
This is an effort by the city council to reduce terrorism threats using vehicles against pedestrians in busy spots within the city. Security bollards have already been installed outside of the Manchester Airport and in certain areas of the city. Revenues from parking fees will pay for the additional security protection.
Manchester is located near the middle of the UK. The BBC or British Broadcasting Corporation is a British public service and oldest national broadcasting organization.
The Telegraph & Argus also reported in December “Police to upgrade security at station in Dudley Hill”. A security bollard is included in the council’s plans to upgrade security at the Bradford police station.
A reader poll revealed 66% of those replying agreed with the plans to upgrade security at the police station. A total of 577 reader votes were cast in the poll.
Dudley Hill is in the City of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England and is also located near the middle of the UK.
