DoorKing® Swing Gate Operators for Dual Lanes
ECI was contracted to install three DKS® DoorKing® Swing Gate operators for an Illinois company located southwest of Chicago last month. The customer supplied all of the equipment which we installed along with the interface wiring and testing of the vehicle detector loop operation.
Shown above is the main entrance with two swing gates controlling the access and egress lanes. Also notice the stacked access control readers on a goose neck pedestal at the entry lane. They are located near the center of the picture near to the dual yellow bollards.
The lower access control reader is at car height and the upper at truck height. There are vehicle detector loops on both lanes as well as a generous sprinkling of additional yellow protective bollards.
Shown below is a close up image of one of the swing gate operators. A third operator was also installed at another swing gate.

Two versions of the 6500 series operator are available. The one-half horsepower version is suitable for gates up to 18 feet in length weighing a maximum of 700 pounds. The larger one horsepower model can accommodate gates up to 22 feet long and weighing a maximum of 800 pounds
Each swing gate operator comes standard with a breakaway hub that prevents damage to the gear box itself if the gate is struck. Thermostatically controlled heater kits are available for colder environments.
