Kraft Foods Morton Grove New Sliding Gate
I wanted to share this installation ECI did for Kraft Foods Global Inc., in 2019. This location is on west Kirk Street in Morton Grove, IL.
The picture above shows the final installation. But first, I want you to take a look at the image to the left, below, which shows the before, prior to the upgrade.

There you are looking into the building lot from the street. This is where employees park their vehicles and trucks deliver supplies and pick up goods. Notice the swing gates to either side. Those gates had to be manually opened for access, or closed and locked when the day ended.
Now I want to highlight some aspects of the finished product in the picture at the top. A new sliding gate has been installed to move across the driveway, parallel to the street. You will see a portion of it better in the image below.
I also wanted to point out the large access control reader at the far left in the middle of the picture. It is the large black box on a gooseneck pole between two yellow protective bollards.
Also notice the new ‘person gate’ which allows people to enter and leave when the gate is closed or when they are on foot and without a vehicle. The fencing running parallel to the driveway is to prevent people from wandering onto the driveway and into the path of a car or truck.

The final image to the right is looking out to the street. It shows a portion of the sliding gate as well as the sliding gate controller on the concrete block. In this image you can also clearly see the outline of the concrete cuts for the vehicle detector loops.
Conduit and electrical work, as well as concrete work, was also included.
