HySecurity CNX Slide Gate Operator in Chicago
Last week we wrote to you about work we did relocating Nice/HySecurity slide gate operators at the Plumbers Local 130 UA headquarters in Chicago. That article was entitled “HySecurity Slide Gate Operators Moved At Chicago Parking Lot”.
As part of the extensive project, we also furnished and installed two new HySecurity CNX SlideSmart™ Gate Operators. One of the operators is pictured above.
These durable operators come with a one-half horsepower motor that can easily move a gate weighing up to 1,500 pounds and up to 50 feet long. The standard eight amp hour back up batteries will keep gates moving up to 100 cycles. Upgraded 35 amp hour batteries furnish up to 450 cycles.
Each operator comes with three configurable relays and an optional eight relay output board is available. A five-year commercial product warranty is included, seven years for single-family residential applications.
Also note the through-beam photoelectric beam mounted near the bottom of the right post. The beam acts as an entrapment safety device to close and reverse the gate if the beam is interrupted by a person or obstacle. Gate edge guards are another safety device that comes standard with the operator.
