New Twin Barrier Gates For Maple Brook Community In Matteson

Late last year ECI was called to Maple Brook, part of Sun Communities, Inc. Maple Brook is a gated community serving active adults 55 years of age and older, and is located in Matteson, Il. The community lies between South Harlem Avenue and I-57, south of Route 30. Matteson is between Frankfort and Chicago Heights, about 30 miles south and a little west of Chicago.

The entranceway to the community is off Ridgeland Avenue. Two existing barrier gates were in disrepair at the entry and needed to be replaced. ECI removed the old barrier gates and replaced them with Nice/HySecurity Strong Arm Park DC™ units with the advanced HyProtect breakaway barrier gate arms. The new barrier gates are pictured in tandem above. Existing peripheral devices were wired in and tested.

ECI has successfully used these units in many applications throughout the greater Chicagoland area. The arms are highly visible and each features a sensitive auto rebound component which minimizes the possibility of injury or damage if either a person or vehicle is caught below.

The arms can be ordered in lengths of 8′, 10′, 12′ and 14′. Articulating arms are also available for low ceiling (i.e. garages) clearance applications. Access control and safety devices, as well as vehicle detection devices, can be integrated into a total security package. Solar power is an available option if direct wire-in is not.
