Rockford Mass Transit Bus Terminal Entry Lane

Rockford Mass Transit Bus Terminal Entry Lane

In 2016 ECI designed and installed a PARCS system for the Rockford Mass Transit bus terminal in Rockford, IL. We used the NetPark – Hamilton cloud based revenue and access control system for self parking. The barrier gates were supplied by HySecurity (now known as Nice/HySecurity).

The system includes a ticket dispensing machine at the entry lane, an exit terminal with ticket validator and a pay on foot terminal. Validations, credit card processing as well as sales and data are processed and stored in ‘cloud’ servers. The data allows for multiple reporting functions. Radio frequency identification (RFID) and automated vehicle identification (AVI) applications are available options.

Pictured above is the entry lane for the bus terminal. Shown is the entry terminal with ticket spitter (blue and white box with the word ‘ENTER’). The entry terminal dispenses tickets to customers as they enter into this fully automated lot with no guard in attendance.

Also notice the automatic barrier gate, saw cuts and seals for dual vehicle detector loops in the pavement near the barrier gate as well as the protective security bollards.

Shown below is the exit lane and exit terminal (blue and white box with the words ”PAY HERE’). A parking ticket is inserted into the exit terminal slot and the fee is calculated. Payment can be made via cash or credit card. One payment is received, a validated ticket is dispensed and the car is allowed to exit the parking lot. Single usage validations can also be used as well as the processing of lost ticket requests.
