I wrote last week about a client’s move to their new Barrington, IL residence and some of the advance work we did at the location. This was in preparation for installation of the dual swing gates (pictured above) that lead to their lovely new home.
Earlier this year ECI furnished and installed Linear’s residential LiftMaster LA400PGKUL Swing Gate Operator package. The 24-volt DC motor is shown in the image above. It is housed in the black box at the lower left edge of the gate’s wing. The motor can be powered via solar when electricity is not available.
Each actuator arm connects the respective wing to the swing gate. They work in unison to simultaneously close the gates. The rated capacity ranges from 16-foot wide gates weighing up to 550 pounds up to 10-foot gates weighing up to 850 pounds.
The control comes standard with three inputs for safety devices such as the preformed vehicle detector loops we installed. An optional board allows three additional inputs that allow a quick close feature or anti-tailgating.
Liftmaster includes a slew of standard features including battery backup and surge protection. The unit comes with a two-year warranty.
The gates automatically open if power is lost or battery backup becomes depleted. You can manually open and close when the manual disconnect is thrown. Additional optional accessories include photo-electric beams, edge kits, safety entrapment edge guards.
